पत्रकारिता की दुनिया में ये हो क्‍या रहा है ..अविनाश

कई पत्रकार अब हम लोगों के बीच हैं कोई बताए हमें कि भला ये हो क्‍या रहा है ? अविनाश के गुजरात दंगे प्रकरण को तो चलो ट्रॉलिंग मान लेते हैं पर भैया ये ‘द हिंदू’ को क्‍या हो गया है। कल उसने उदबाहू घोषणा की (ये मुखपृष्‍ठ की पहली खबर थी कल) कि गुजरात सरकार दंगों की संचालक थी गृहमंत्री खुद दोषी हैं.

The report on the Gujarat fake encounter killings submitted by Inspector General of Police Geetha Johri speaks of "the collusion of [the] State government in the form of Shri Amit Shah, MOS for Home." It says the episode "makes a complete mockery of the rule of law and is perhaps an example of the involvement of [the] State government in a major crime."

लगा कि भई ये तो पातालफोड़ खबर है, गुजरात की सरकार के लिए हमारे मन में कोई सहानुभूति न थी न है। नवंबर 84 के दंगे स्‍मृति में हैं और उस बालक अनुभव से भी जानते हैं कि बिना राज्‍य की मिली भगत के इतने बड़े नरसंहार नहीं होते। पर यहॉं सवाल पत्रकारिता के मूल्‍यों और पाठकों के विश्‍वास का भी है, क्‍योंकि अगले ही दिन यानि आज हिंदू ने लिखा

The Hindu retracts its front-paged assertion that the Johri report speaks of
``collusion of the State government'' and of the role of Mr. Amit Shah, Minister of State for Home; and also that it recommends a CBI enquiry. We deeply regret these serious errors in a story that drew on documents we relied upon in good faith. We agree that we should have verified the facts, especially those relating to the provenance of ``Facts of the Case,'' before publishing the news stories

अब इस सारे प्रकरण को इस तरह भी देखा जा सकता है कि देखो कितने ईमानदार तरीके से गलती मान ली जो अखबार अपनी लीड में ऐसे कर्म करता हो उसे तो पांचजन्‍य ले जाकर बैठा देना चहिए और ये तो ‘द हिंदू’ है। हमें तो मामला इतना सीधा लगा नहीं पर पत्रकारिता की बातें हैं...पत्रकार ही जानें।
